ihu.bz is run by 1 person (me) in my spare time with no income stream. I don't have confidence that I could protect any data you give me and you shouldn't either. Because of this I have designed the service so you have to give me as little information as possible. Data you give me in relation to ihu.bz falls into 2 categories as far as privacy is concerned: published data and public data. No data that you provide to me in relation to this service should be considered private. Published data includes most of the files you upload (with the exception of dot-files and files in dot-folders). You are uploading these files for the express purpose of making them available to the internet at large. Expecting any level of privacy for these would be unreasonable. Additionally I may retain a history of the contents of the files you have previously published to aid in identifying illegal activity, or for backup purposes. Public data includes information you provided during sign-up (such as your phone number or public keys), dot-files and files in dot-folders, as well as all non-published data. The required data is intentionally very minimal (currently only a phone number). This information may be provided to law enforcement, DMCA claimants, abuse reporters, people claiming to be you for account recovery, or anyone else via manual or automated processes. Just like with published data, I may retain a history of public data to aid in identifying illegal activity, or for backup purposes.
